It would be nice if cards that select other cards to do some action, had some kind of highlight feature before hitting Play button.

For example you want to play Word of Power. You select mode 7, and the card on position 7 is highlighted.

This could visually help avoid misclicks.

This sounds to me like a reasonable request, if it can be easily implemented.

The main problem is that the application is unable to recognize which cards are those that will manipulate with cards in hand and which are just cards with modes that do something else.

Ah, so Merchant would highlight cards 1 2 and 3 while selecting bricks, gems, or recruits. That would be odd.

Simplest solution would be some subtle "are you sure" or "MODE 7!!!! WARINING!!!" dialog box, or simply making mode cards to work after 2 clicks, instead of 1. And adding unchecking for this option in the user settings.

But is that so bad? I usually play wrong cards, and not wrong modes for example.

An easy way to distinguish cards that manipulate other cards from simple mode cards, is the number of modes. In the first case there's always 8 modes :)

Interesting observation. Maybe it could be done :) We are still left with 3 groups of cards then:

1 - cards that manipulate opponent's hand
2 - cards that manipulates player's hand
3 - cards that manipulate both

How are we going to distinguish these?
