This card can be useful only in two cases. First - in Beast vs. Beast games. Second - in rush decks vs. Beast games. But whole Beast keyword is built around low cost, mediocre to relatively high attack, and extremely high attack/cost ratio. 8 recruits is too high cost for a common Beast, and attack/cost isn't good even with keyword proc (12/8 compared to 14/6 from Centaur tribe, 12/6 from Dire wolves, 10/5 from Forest guardian, 8/3 from Werewolf etc), i.e. it doesn't fit Beast decks. So there is only one use of it - Beast deck countering as a part of rush decks.
I'm playing Beast deck relatively often, and can't say it's THAT strong. I spent ridiculous amount of time trying to make Beast/Frenzy deck fast enough to compete with tower-, Holy/Soldier and pure rush decks. So I don't like it as it is now. Make it uncommon with slightly increased cost (10-11), attack (13-14) and conditional effect (6).
