Vile flute, Rare, 5 gems
Durable
If matching card is not New or enemy has discarded his last card: Enemy wall and stock=0

This concept would absolutely destroy Hidden mode, and not in a fun way.
Damalycus on 10/27/2011, 6:12:30 PM
I've waited until someone comes up with this :) Bringing some hidden game condition idea.
Checking if revealed does not work. Cause you just wait until enemy reveal you with non matching card, and bam.
Damalycus on 10/27/2011, 6:18:43 PM
How about now?
DPsycho on 10/27/2011, 6:32:31 PM
Making it so it has to be played twice nearly mends the surprise problem, but it could be played after Whirlwind, giving the opponent no idea which of the 8 New cards was it.

Even if this were fixed entirely, I'm not sure I like it. It seems to me that its full effect would occur eventually and delaying it is futile, and looking at it that way, it's too cheap for what it does.

What if playing it when NOT New causes something terrible against the player, like gems=0, gems production x0? That way, the owner of the card is also forced to use it or lose it, or otherwise refresh the New tag in some way.
Damalycus on 10/27/2011, 6:36:08 PM
It's ether you draw some banish, replace, discard, anything in that exact slot,or you draw something you cannot afford.
Only things left to change - are the price of using the flute, or making the flute give some resources to the dancer so can afford forthcoming cards.
DPsycho on 10/27/2011, 6:38:13 PM
Even when the effect is triggered, however, the card is still there to be used again a few rounds later. It just sounds like a big headache. Combined with cards that reduce facilities, a nightmare.
Damalycus on 10/27/2011, 6:45:45 PM
Unannoyed it exclusively for you :)
(And everyone else if this gets picked someday)

stock=0 is gone, now enemy dances to keep facilities and , maybe, to keep you rich.
dindon on 10/27/2011, 8:19:52 PM
Cool concept, and even cooler name. :)
Quincunx on 10/27/2011, 10:40:43 PM
So, do you get the +13 stock even if the last card played was not Vile Flute?
Damalycus on 10/28/2011, 12:05:25 AM
Thanks Dindon

2Quincunx - no, no, of course not.

Only after you play flute for the 1st time, and enemy has no resources for using flute-matching card he has two choices.
1:Play something else, which will result in flute-matching card being non-New (he can avoid that by portal, whirlwind, wish, anything) and he will lose 1 facility next turn
2:Discard flute-matching card to keep the slot New, but enemy will get +stock next turn. Which I've reduced to 8, cause 13 is overkill.
dindon on 10/28/2011, 12:14:07 AM
I don't think 13 is too great a prize for having to pay 12 gems, and 2 turns without drawing a new card (which is the worst part about any non-swift durable), especially since it's far from guaranteed.
Damalycus on 10/28/2011, 12:17:01 AM
Indeed. Redid.

Woo, I really like the image for this card (though maybe it could stand to be more vile :P). Actually all the recently added images are really good - I don't know if we have Damalycus or Fithz to thank for that.
Damalycus on 11/22/2011, 7:56:00 AM
Well you could see they are a bit weaker in quality so it's me this time :)

As per flute - i can draw her some red eyes, horns and a beard :D no?

I'm quite busy with my job, so I left many concepts without pictures. I will find some on weekends and holydays.
Damalycus has found nice pictures for his cards
