New card preview is here! Please note, that these are not final versions - final round of balancing is scheduled.

Might be a typo on the Phoenix Feather "Next card reveived will be Phoenix" is it supposed to be received?

On a side note i like the Shadow Priestess card!
Progressor on 22:52, 3. Apr, 2009
Some random remarks:

Phoenix feather... JOINK! My burning deck pretty much failed so far, this feather looks like a good improvement for a lil heat. Burning = 2 is surprisingly easy to match I think... Of course you'll need some patience before you meet the Rebirth condition then.

Hungry dead: I don't know what enduring does, but it could really make or break this card.

Shrine: Bonus if dividable by 10? If I understand it right, it's better then Basic wal ;-)

Mediator: To cheap discard option? (Dunno, just thinking out loud.)

Valley of the thousand rivers: Too cheap facility +1 for just 2 deck types, one of them even focused on doubling production.
GoSUCoLO on 23:08, 3. Apr, 2009
imho enduration means for how many rounds you will get to keep card on your hand before it auto discards itself since its only on durable cards
Progressor on 23:11, 3. Apr, 2009
Will it be visualized how many turns there are left?
GoSUCoLO on 23:31, 3. Apr, 2009
dont know im just cleaning here ;D
Xenogeist on 23:31, 3. Apr, 2009
They all look interesting, especially the ones with the "if new" conditions.

The only one that really concerns me is Outnumbered and Outmatched which looks like a zero cost instant win card.
daviepai on 23:40, 3. Apr, 2009
What does "if new" mean?

Isn't "Fair Trade" too good for a zero-cost uncommon card?

"Arthoria the Sabre" has both Enduring(25) and Durable, so would it be discarded after 25 rounds?
KingPirux on 00:51, 4. Apr, 2009
xD alastor and saber?!? lol when i said Luffy from one piece what?

cool cards!! :D
DPsycho on 03:28, 4. Apr, 2009
Enduring, to me, looks like an opposite to Charge somehow, given that it's a keyword with a value attached. Perhaps it's discarded if the owner receives that much or more in damage in one attack? This would make Hungry dead even more interesting as trying to save it until it is no longer New gives your opponent a greater chance to force its discard.
DPsycho on 03:58, 4. Apr, 2009
Regarding Corsairs, does it mean that you will steal the equivalent of one round of your opponent's production, or does it really mean stock equivalent to the total of the opponent's facilities? For example, would 4Q 3M 2D give 4B 3G 2R, or 9 stock? I assume it means the former, but if so it should be reworded.
Sundancer on 08:24, 4. Apr, 2009
First I must say that this is the most awesome update ever :D I really like those cards :D ( especially the picture of perfect shot :) It just looks like shes about to do the perfect shot. )

But:

Shrine says: "If wall ends with 0"... does that mean if your wall is reduced to 0 ?

I agree with Progressor about the Valley Of The Thousand Rivers

Revenge Of The Fallen seems like the "I WIN" button for undead decks. If you don't play undead as the opponent of this card your enemy can reduce your facility for just 1 gem as often as this card is drawn and since it's uncommon it will be drawn a few times a game.

The rest seems cool :) looks like they're made for me :D

PS: I think after the endurance expires the card pays itself for free

Interesting. Seeing a lot of power creep here...

Colonialism and Gleaners are better resource get cards then those currently existing... compare Gleaners with Caravan or Saint's Day, for example. Ah, well; standard comment about crappy 0-cost cards and Danai Present.

New Development raises the bar on towerup cards; being more effective and expensive then any other existing one. Inefficient if played poorly; as with most such things.

Shrine is significantly better then Basic Wall, as there are a lot more positions it can be used in, AND it has an incidental +Gems effect.

Perfect Shot doesn't exactly 'raise the bar' on direct attack, given the existence of Elven Archers... but it is a lot easier. It's also another common that does this, and it uses a different element, so it intensifies the strategy.

Death Prophet makes 'mutual facility destruction' an easier strategy to implement. Having tried it myself on a number of occasions, I don't find it a good strategy, but your mileage may vary.

Elementalist brings the much asked-for Unliving nerf. Not that I expect to see it that often; being a specific countermeasure, it's one of the cards that people won't usually put in their deck unless they're fighting someone specific. But now that it exists, it should silence some of that inane nerflust, so I'm in favor.

Valley of Thousand Rivers / Revenge of the Fallen... wow. That's something. They look broken at first glance, because they're improbably cheap. The random probably isn't sufficient drawback to deprive them of awesome. Trick is, I can't see them being much less awesome if they had a more significant cost, because of how greatly they're underpriced compared to other cards doing the same thing. Of the two, Valley is probably less broken, because there are more cards that could go into it, and because Facility+ is typically cheaper then Facility-. I'd recommend adding Burning and Destruction to Revenge; that evens the two out. Not sure if that makes them balanced against everything else, but it'd be a start.

I like Darkforge, because it intensifies my existing strategy. Alliance should always have something it can do with heaps of recruits, thanks to Mountain Sentry... this just represents another way of doing that. Recruits x20 is pretty impressive... and easily possible, given a bit of planning. If tokens is also being implemented, the planning is more obvious.

More thoughts later.

Is anyone else having problems with the link?
DPsycho on 21:46, 4. Apr, 2009
No, the image is still loading for me.
Endovior on 21:46, 4. Apr, 2009
It's not a link. It's a URL, so you need to copy and paste. If you do that, you shouldn't have a problem.

Beyond that...

Good to see more love for Soldiers; with all this 'build and tower attack', I might have to make a Soldier deck myself.

Outnumbered and Outmatched is pretty awesome; and definitely will be going in my Alliance deck.

Hard to tell whether Arthoria is balanced or not; we don't know what Enduring does; whatever it is, it'd better be worth the -10 attack and +2/+2 cost that separates Arthoria from Lord of Time.
Myschly on 14:06, 5. Apr, 2009
Pretty damn awesome stuff... Would've liked a preliminary FAQ with the terms tho' ;P

If new = When it's a "new card"?

Enduring = ??? (and will it show how much there's left on it if it works as such?)

Messenger's going to be interesting, it's really the ultimate Wildcard, excellent for adding unexpected twists in the game!
Endovior on 19:41, 5. Apr, 2009
I don't think Enduring will be a countdown. That'd be a difficult mechanic to code.

'New Card' has been discussed on the forums before; any card with the 'new card' flag above it (usually, a card that you just drew) is a new card.
DPsycho on 20:08, 5. Apr, 2009
Also, any card exchanged through use of "Black market" would be flagged as New for both players.
Fithz Hood on 08:15, 6. Apr, 2009
Some considerations:

I like the "if new" cards, I wonder if some old cards will get this feature.

Phoenix feather... nice idea (thank you Mojko)

I think enduring(N) means if wall=0, tower+N. but it's strange that both the cards with this keyword are also durable; anyway I don't think it's related to how many times you could play those cards, sounds like not implementable.

Power surge seems to me too good, but I think it's ok. It can be used for combos with lookout tower, last hope ...

Revenge of the fallen? no way! undead deck it's becoming too powerful also becouse of the new brigand cards; and don't forget that with the new token system undead cards will get a new good ability (upgrade the rarity).

Outnumbered and outmatched it is too good, maybe it should destroy all of your recruits instead of giving the same recruits of the opponent.

I like Alastor flame of heavens, it can be useful in many decks, and it can be drawed by prayer, holy tower, eternal flame. very useful in burning decks.
