It's 3rd least used common card at this moment, and I can say why. It has extremely low cost, but extremely low effectiveness as well. 2 attack and +1 recruit - come on... Lady Ellena, Rogue, Thief, Conscript, Piranhas, Wizard, even Imp and Goblin flanker - all these cards are better than Swordsman in terms of attack, keywords and/or side effect. And when I get it with Draft - it's very disappointing, because it means that two turns are wasted. I see only one reason why I should pick it - Soldier token. But there are so many ways to use this common slot more effectively that I'll probably skip Swordsman even in Soldier deck.
It needs rework - more attack or better side effect. I'd suggest something like this:

Common, Soldier, 0/0/4
Attack: 5
Summon a Soldier

I just discarded a rare using this card (I have to wait the end of the game to post the link)
I looked into the code and I think the error is in using "rare" instead of 'rare'

the ! means "not" and it's right (the discarded card must be non rare)

The thread's name is not the same as the card to wich is linked (duelist)
