Even though I had 0 Keywords on hand, I received 7 dmg. It probably counts itself as discarded.
I saw on the bug tracker that this problem was fixed recently, but the screen shots I've taken date after that. (02 23 2009 vs 08 03 2009)
I assume this bug will be there until next update processes all changes?

Oh, and that 3 was actually a mistype I didn't bother fixing ;-).

witcher does not have kaywords so it can't count itself; maybe it discarded the card you got after witcher, you should check the discard pile if you can.

As visible on the second screen shot, it didn't discard cards from my hand. (There is no card left of the stripe indicating whose cards are discarded.)

Furthermore I just might formulate it as: Witcher counts all "New Cards" regardless weither it's the case it's just the card drawn after Witcher or if it's discarded by it.

Besides, the effect of a card always happens before the new card is drawn, else there would be a chance Battle Formation gives 32 attack and 15 wall even when you currently have 3 Soldiers on hand, if you happen to be lucky enough to draw a soldier after that.

Well, Witcher works like this right now:

It places the card that you drew this turn in it's place and then the effect happenes. So if you got some card with keyword it get's discarded by Witcher's effect and you get 7 dmg for a card that you didn't even see.

I thought that this behaviour is not what we want, so I changed it. Now his effect skips the newcard. This change will be applied in the next update.

Awkward thing still:
No discarded card was displayed at my side of the stripe.
Mojko on 16:24, 12. Mar, 2009
Of course it wasn't. The card you recieved instead of Witcher and got discarded directly afterwards wasn't in your hand at the beggining of your turn. That is why the system cannot see that it was discarded. He computes the discarded cards by comparing your hand before and after you played a card.

Also tribute works in this way, right? Are you planning to fix it too in the next update?
Mojko on 16:50, 12. Mar, 2009
Tribute is different. When it targets self for discard, it doesn't do anything. Witcher (after the modification) will to do the same.
