I just want to put my two cents in. To be clear, I'm not arguing against anyone else's point of view, just defining mine.
I've always liked the way the Players section is presently filtered in that it has those who've played the most games at or near the top and those who are recent inductees at the bottom and climbing. It has nothing to do with ratios or ratings. Simply put, those who have played the game the most and the longest are there at the top. I respect those who have been here a while and played several games, win or lose. This does not mean that I feel it is the best for everyone, just that it suits me fine.
Examine ratios, try to design one perfect deck, never use the same deck twice, go for a winning streak, or try to win a match with the most useless deck you can produce just to see if it's possible. Approach the game however you want, so long as we're all having fun, I figure. I would suggest that we not look down upon one another player for placing value in one element more than any of the rest, and especially that we not dismiss anyone who doesn't meet our own ideals regarding the game.
I don't place much value upon the ratio, personally preferring total games played, but I won't tell anyone else that they shouldn't evaluate other players their own way. It's everyone's game to play as every individual wishes, so long as no one's cheating. ;)
