I think it should be uncommon in order to be able to trigger Illusion.

I like it as a Common, but I would point out that it's far too inexpensive as an Illusion card. The cheapest Common Illusion cards cost 4 gems, requiring you to have thought ahead before playing the non-common Illusion or having enough Magic to generate enough gems. This one nearly guarantees that you can trigger the keyword effect.

As a Common, this card gives you the choice of either triggering the Illusion effect or the card effect but never both. If it's made Uncommon, you can trigger the keyword effect to override the card effect, something that will confuse and upset people and should be avoided on the design end.

Exactly, I want to avoid that kind of confusion.
I will think about raising the cost

Er, no, pardon my being tired this morning, but I realize there's still no way to get both effects as you can't trigger the keyword playing it after a discarded card. Whoops.

Ah, it's true...
Well, I still think it's better as common

Agreed.

You cannot override the card's primary effect with Illusion, as it needs the previous card to be discarded while Illusion needs the previous card to be played. By making this uncommon you could have both the Illusion effect and the card's primary effect (this would be the initialiser of the "illusion sequence"). No confusion at all as far a I am concerned.

And what if I've discarded several cards?
dimitris on 14:17, 13. Jun, 2011
When a card says "if last card was discarded" it means explicitly discarded by the player, by hitting the discard button. You can explicitly discard only one card per turn.

The card is about normal discarding, similar to Farm or Vulture
