I'm just wondering what is the goofiest combo or situational manipulation that anyone has seen. I just finished a game that literally made me laugh hysterically. I'm playing a hardcore control deck that is honestly pretty bad. It's just fun. Over the course of the game I had gotten my facilities up to 6/8/8 and had been desperately fighting off his offense.

I play a Mage's Guild and he drops a Tyran's Pride that he had "black marketed" off me earlier bringing me to no wall and 5 tower and him up to 96 Tower and 10 wall. Off my mages guild, though, I had a Lord of Time. I play 4 Lords of Time (durable, remember) and an Elven Archer for the tower destruction victory.

Anyone have something similar?

I once had an opening turn lasting 11 rounds or so. (In the time wind didn't summon silly cards.)

As for damaging chains:
3 x Knight of time
1 x Moonlight unicorn
1 x Pegasus
1 x Sorceress
1 x Mage
1 x Acolyte
Guess what?
It DIDN'T kill. It took a couple of extra turns to finish those die-hard Unliving (If I recall correctly).

I had a close scrape very recently. I took a screen shot so I could recall it.

I had 15 Tower right before the end. Opponent had 145 Wall, 94 Tower. His strongest attack card in hand was Griffin for 14 damage. He didn't have enough bricks to play Stilshrine of Miriam (requires 13, had 8) for a tower victory. I had just drawn Duplication.

I won that battle with 1 Tower and over 700 resources.

Before they fixed the deck building and all of my common cards were Militia and Wind, and I had 75 card plays and a victory in a single turn.

i was once beaten in a single turn (4th round). my opponent didn't even let me play one single card. but that was a normal, legal deck. the game would have been longer if i lost by surrender xD

the card that killed me was witcher.
KingPirux on 22:01, 15. Jan, 2009
ouuuu i was beaten by my brother.... but more silliest than that is that in more than 10 turns i only get resource cards without any wall, tower or atack card, and more silliest was that those cards where always merchant, i had 4 merchants in my hand with an undead and unliving deck >.<

or the other silly and realy weird thing, my brother always, but always, in all games i had with him. he finishi me with light cavalry, and the funny thing, it apears in his hand just in time... (i'm starting to think he's cheating me... ¬¬)
Progressor on 21:36, 19. Jan, 2009
This type of thing isn't the most silliest, but it happens A LOT!

Recent example vs Mojko:
Highlander in my hand.
Fortified wall in his.
His Tower is 12, Wall 13 (or reverse).
He has enough bricks but he didn't play Fortified wall, while I had exactly 14 Recruits.
(It would've taken some time to regain sufficient recruits to attack aggain, let alone kill, assuming the Barbarian keyword wouldn't trigger, and for the rest I wasn't strong. With a bit of luck he would've killed me instead.)

People:
Im not saying Im flawless or something, but it PAYS to pay attention. ;-)

I've done such mistakes a lot :D.
Esspecialy when I'm at work and I want to get a 5 minute break - when your brain is processing something else and there's a bit of stress involved, you can't make the best strategies in MArcomage.

So don't judge Mojko's actions just yet - put yourselves in such a situation first ;)
Mojko on 21:41, 19. Jan, 2009
I guess I shouldn't work and play at the same time during evening >_<
Progressor on 21:45, 19. Jan, 2009
Im not judging anyone. ;-)

Note that I just picked the most recent event in my memory (Viperio implied that I meant this personal. Really, I don't.). This probably happens to everyone from time to time.
Mojko on 21:48, 19. Jan, 2009
Waaaaah ! Ban for you ! ! !

Heh, just kidding :D

I'm really more interested in testing card combinations and gathering card combo ideas / strategies from players then in actually winning the game anyway ;)
Progressor on 21:50, 19. Jan, 2009
That I like too.

That's what I build my Experimental deck for.
The second reason I build it: It annoys people. XD

I used Gift from the Heavens near the beginning of a game, not noticing my opponent had just drawn an Efreet card. He used the resources I gave him to play Efreet and win.

I had Damnation in my hand and my opponent had Master of the Past in his. We both held on to them for a long time in a kind of stand off. Eventually I decide to play Damnation to make him use Master but he makes his move too fast and forgets. He was still in pretty good shape even after the Damnation though. I think the match is still going on.
DPsycho on 23:36, 19. Jan, 2009
I've taken to keeping notes on my matches. I often look at all possible plays for the opponent and determine how to head off or react to any of them. Then the opponent goes offline and I'm left with all of this wasted strategizing.

It backfires, of course, when I have the perfect counter ready and I play it before noting what card the opponent has drawn, such as repairing a wall in the presence of Goblin saboteur. Whoops.
Fithz Hood on 08:48, 20. Jan, 2009
I've lost one match using "Road to Whalalla" with 9 tower. The silly thing is that the RtW card was an idea of mine.
Progressor on 10:30, 21. Jan, 2009
Ive done that 2 or 3 times on purpose, if my opponent would kill me next turn anyway. The I don't need to wait for the inevitable, without using that silly surrender button (I never surrender).
KingPirux on 13:51, 21. Jan, 2009
i can win any of you...

once, i had a battle where me and my opponent have no more than 10 tower and nothing else, i think i was 1 or 5 tower... the thing is that i survived a lot of turns taking my oponent resources and using black market and a lot of luck i take his cards that can kill me... well, in the last round i used black market and take from him the card that can kill me and a road to vallhala... and i played road to valhalla with less than 10 tower... -_- after the surviving turns i finished my self with a suicide when i could win but i didn't think in the last turn because i was too confident of my luck T.T
