Hi everybody,

this thread shall be used to describe keywords more properly, than in the short "mouse-over-text". (If there already is a thread/manual available, that i was missing, i'd be happy to have a link, because i've been searching quite a while.)
I still have problems, understanding the meaning of farsight... and it's difference between "hidden-card-mode" and "visible-card-mode".
Can anyone explain please?

Also other keywords may be discussed here, if anyone else has questions about them.

After all, I want to state out, that this game/site seems to be veeery cool :-)
Played my first game (lost of course ;-)) and would love to play several more...
...in another thread ("newbie outrate") there has already been discussed very much... and it seems, that there has been much progress since then...

Huh... just have an accepted challenge :-D
Have to finish now ;-)

Well Far Sight has 2 modes:

A) If enemy cards are hidden and you play a Far Sight card then it reveals the cards opposite of its position according to the played card rarity.

B) If enemy card opposite the played Far Sight card is already been revealed (i.e. in hidden mode you revealed them last round with another Far Sight card or you are just playing in non-hidden mode) then you gain a bonus based on the type of cost and rarity of the enemy card. By type of cost I mean, if enemy card costs Recruits or Gems or Bricks or it's a Zero cost card or it costs more than 2 resource types.

I hope I helped :)

You can find complete keyword list with description in game manual / keywords.

I think it may be easier to understand if you consider the revealing aspect second and the matching effect as primary.

Far sight has an effect based on the cost of the opponent's card in the matching position (but only if you can already see what it is). What it does is based on the cost (color) of that matching card. How much an effect it has is based on the rarity of your Far sight card. It will also reveal Hidden cards surrounding the matching card, if there are any. How many it reveals is determined by the rarity of your Far sight card.

If the matching card is Hidden, it will give no bonus but instead reveal that card and its neighbors. How many it reveals is determined by the rarity of your Far sight card.

Thanks for your help! I have already found the "keyword-help" before... but reading it in your words makes it much easier to understand...

...so the bonus is only given, when the card is already revealed... what means, that "farsight-players" should prefer "open-view-games"... ?!

Frankly, I haven't seen Far sight decks yet. It's not a core for deck building, it's a supportive keyword like Restoration.

I have a Far sight deck. It's equally effective in both Hidden and Normal games. Interestingly, and deck statistics weren't in place yet while I used it the most so I can't confirm this, it feels like I won by construction with it more often than tower destruction. Playing with it against the occasional zero-cost deck was fun, too, having to get by with what I had without bonuses from the keyword.

I have a deck centered around Aqua and Far Sight. It's quite an interesting one as I can win both by Destruction and Construction. The good thing about Far Sight is that it gives you appropriate bonus against appropriate decks (i.e. against recruit cards it raises you wall, against bricks it raises your tower) and can give you tactical advantages in Hidden Mode games.

Also I stole Fitz Hood's idea of a Titan deck with Far Sight as support (usually targeting gem-costing cards and filling up my Titan counter quickly)

That is worth noting. If you build a Far sight deck, set only ONE keyword for token gain so that matching against gem cards doesn't end up wasted. In mine, I set Alliance.

I use this tactic in Mage and Illusion decks as well. It's easy to fill up on gems and magic :)
