The "in hand" at the end is unnecessary.

Does this affect only your hand or both hands? Perhaps what you meant was "Return to your hand..."

Same positions? Only replacing New cards?

and what's up when the discarded cards are more than 8?
e.g.: your opponent uses evolution and elemental storm
Spoon on 20:06, 10. Nov, 2010
"Returns up to 8 cards discarded by your opponent's last turn." would be closer to what I assume your original intention was.
DPsycho on 01:26, 13. Nov, 2010
The text is still unclear as to whether this affects your hand only or both hands. Would playing this after your opponent played Wildfire gem restore only your own cards or the opponent's as well? I figure that only the former is meant, but the latter would be very interesting. Even more so if the opponent then also plays this card.
NG_Beholder on 08:38, 13. Nov, 2010
No, it can be even worse than chain Goblin Intruder.
DPsycho on 13:17, 13. Nov, 2010
Again, you would want to say "Return to" instead of "Return in"
NG_Beholder on 13:25, 13. Nov, 2010
Better now?
DPsycho on 13:34, 13. Nov, 2010
Yes.

8 posts and no discussion of whether the card is interesting or balanced? You guys are such pedants :P

Okay, I'll be the first. I like the idea. Discarders are a huge part of the game, especially in long mode, and especially with all the new ones that have been added recently (Thug, Desert Traveller, Conscript Army...). Being able to counter them would be interesting. However, I wonder if the card is a little too focused to be worth taking most of the time. Could it have a secondary effect if no cards were discarded last turn? Maybe give it the Restoration keyword?
NG_Beholder on 00:31, 14. Nov, 2010
I don't want to add a keyword because of Sheath your swords. But you gave me an idea...
dindon on 00:43, 14. Nov, 2010
Yeah, I see what you mean about Sheath. As it is right now though, the secondary effect is pretty weak. School of Restoration is common and does the same effect for the same resource cost, and also gives you tower.
NG_Beholder on 01:55, 14. Nov, 2010
How about this?
dindon on 02:39, 14. Nov, 2010
Sure, it seems pretty well balanced to me. In terms of flavour, the effects are kind of incongruous, but *shrug*.

The only suggestion I would make would be to take out the modes. Make it something like "Return to your hand... if none found, next card...". I think that makes it a bit simpler.
