I like the idea of this card, but I think the conditional effect should be a bit stronger. 5 tower and 12 wall for 10 bricks isn't actually that great

It's better than Baron's Keep. :)

Baron's Keep has the far sight keyword. (And it's also a horribly overrated card...)

Even with far sight, Baron's Keep can do +5T +7W or +3T +10W. Less than Chateau's secondary effect.

That's not true, assuming you're referring to the 'else' condition.

If you're referring to the first condition then, yeah, of course Chateau is more powerful in that case. The condition isn't easy to achieve. Because it's hard to achieve, and you have to be in danger to use it, I think the effect should be stronger. If necessary, make the 'else' effect less powerful.
