It would be nice to have an exp bar also under the name in the top bar.

It's easy to implement, but is it necessary? It will take some space from the navigation bar and note that not everyone has a widescreen yet.

Looking at my wide screen, I's guess non-widescreen is already too cluttered (if it isn't anyway).
The idea is cute, but not very useful.

I don't think it's that bad an idea. It wouldn't take much space if it was placed under the name.

It could help in removing it from the player's section and thus save up the system from doing mass calculations whenever someone is at that section.

Instead of rendering EXP only in player profile page it will be rendered in every page, so not much of an optimization there. To fetch this EXP costs 1 additional database query which isn't much, but I'm still not convinced why it should be in menubar.

I made the player name in the upper left corner a clickable hyperlink which leads to his profile page. This way, you will be able to access you EXP info in one click. (changes will be applied in the next update)
