I create this thread because of the thread 'Summon master'. In this thread someone asks why the card doesn't work as expected. The thread was created using the card section. As a moderator I feel this thread belongs in support, but the link to the card is pretty useful.
I hereby suggest making it possible to link topics to a card for the Support section also. Maybe it's even a good idea to make it a dropbox so you can select any target section for your thread.

The link between the card details and its 'discussion' (actually, balance changes topic) is a hardcoded 1:1 thing right now. Specifying the scope of such a topic would indeed be a good idea, though. The forum section says 'balance changes' but the card details button says 'go to discussion'.

As to your suggestion about associating an arbitrary amount of topics with a card... I suggest figuring out what the exact needs and requirements are, and design the feature accordingly.

If we had hyperlinks support and we would be able to create a direct link from thread in Support section to Cards section, would it solve the problem? (this link would be one-way only)

I'd suggest the 'View discussion' button would become a 'View topics' button. It will take you directly to the thread if there is only one. If there are more it will list the topics in a search result kind of way.
Information about the section of the thread would have to be added to the search result.

How exactly would one generate a list of all threads related to the card?

How is the list of threads generated/shown when you use search?
I don't quite get this question...
