I was curious as to why the following cards do not have the solider keyword attached or even Skirmisher:

Elf Commando
Elite Elf
Elven Archer

They didn't train hard enough. :)

i think those cards have enough room to accomodate the word soldier.

I don't see elves as having the same kind of military that humans do, looking at Tolkien as a source.

From a game standpoint, I don't think the Soldier keyword needs these additional cards.

It's not just room, it's also that there are cards like minaret. This way you'd make Minaret - Elves combinations worse. And you make em better for Rainbow Dragon.

My point in general:
Not all cards should have the keywords you feel fits them story wise. It would be a keyword clutter in the sence it would shift the balance between cards as happens in the mentioned examples. Keyword based decks tend to be a common choice, but you don't want to make it impossible to play the game in another stile. It would kill creativity.

So lots of keyword-rich cards and adding more keywords to various cards would be what I mean by cluttering. Room is a less of an issue. Keyword-less cards often have plenty room, but who would play Witcher if they all used it for a keyword.

Soldier refers more to human. If I would give them a keyword it would either be Nature or Alliance. However I agree with Progressor, some cards are best left without a keyword

Cards:

Hungry Dead
Fallen Knight

These two cards are overpowered I think, they each have four tags.

If they are overpowered, it's not because they have four keywords. I'd argue that Enduring cards are more difficult to use than those that give straight damage, so getting rid of that element would only make these cards stronger. They do each have two Token keywords, but I've yet to see someone hitting both Undead/Brigand or Undead/Soldier effects on every other play of either of these cards. You'd practically have to have four of the same card on hand to be accumulating both.

I like Hungry dead. It's possibly the only Durable where having two of it on hand is strategically useful. I use it in a deck with the Brigand counter set, so being Undead as well is actually a weakness in that it can be targeted for discard by Holy effects.

weretigerdragon, if you feel a specific card needs (to lose) something, it's better to make a balancing thread per card using the Cards section.

(If you use the cards section to create the thread, instead of the forum, it will be linked the the card you're discussing. The 'View card' button will appear in the threads created that way.)
