Why this card is now made useless is beyond me? Someone care to explain?
Mojko on 18:31, 22. Jun, 2010
Revealing 5 cards in opponent's hand, the ability to choose the position in hand and therefore be able to choose a far sight keywords bonus is not that bad.
Noak on 18:41, 22. Jun, 2010
its just that i really liked the ninja card.. now its a completly new card that has no resemblance to the old one, i don't play hidden games and it has no use in non hidden games so..
DPsycho on 18:49, 22. Jun, 2010
I hadn't noticed that this one had been altered beyond adding the keyword. Now I need to remove it from my decks.

Why couldn't we have left Ninja as it was and made a different card with this effect? I'm reminded of when Pegasus was temporarily changed in a past update.
Mojko on 19:05, 22. Jun, 2010
Far sight is usable also in non-hidden games, but we'll see if it needs to be rebalanced.
DPsycho on 23:56, 22. Jun, 2010
Useful for the Far sight keyword or not, what it comes down to for me is that this card used to perform a specific function, and that function had synergy with some of my decks. It no longer performs that function, it no longer fits those decks, and there is no alternative that works in quite the way that it did. If this is the way Ninja will be from now on, I'd like to have a card that performs in the way that Ninja did.

I mentioned the change that was once made to Pegasus. In that case, the new version of it was made its own card, Dark pegasus, and Pegasus was restored to its prior version. The case for it then was the same as now; the changes made to the card were neither a buff nor a nerf but a transformation into something that couldn't be used in the same way. If this new Ninja could be spun off to be its own card and the original Ninja restored, I would be pacified. This new card isn't bad, and I could probably work it into other decks, but I liked the old one for what it did.

I agree with DPsycho. Ninja was an awesome card before, perfectly balanced for it's cost, rarity and effect. Now it's quite ridiculous. Why use Ninja when I can use so many other Far Sight cards? If I'm playing with recruits, then I have Baron's keep to give me the Far Sight effect, without expending much resources AND with gaining an additional effect (+3 tower, +7 wall). The same applies for all Far Sight cards, except Ninja, which does essentially nothing. Maybe give you +1 stock and reveal 5 cards? and that's a maybe and without any additional perk, other than being stuck with this card in your hand.
-3 enemy tower was the perfect effect for 0-cost uncommon card. Not strong enough to pose a threat to the opponent, but still useful to you.

bring old ninja card back!!!
jbryant3 on 19:48, 30. Jun, 2010
I agree that we should pull a Pegasus on Ninja. We could make the current version "Prophet." That would make sense given the benefit of Far Sight...

nice Idea, I like it
DPsycho on 23:28, 14. Jul, 2010
I miss Old Ninja. Could we please have an answer? I'm still pushing for having both versions exist as separate cards.
Mojko on 06:06, 15. Jul, 2010
I'm currently occupied with the hyperlinks development project, so I had no time to deal with balance changes yet. I think the last idea was to keep one Ninja card and add Enemy tower: -2 to his effect.
DPsycho on 18:04, 25. Aug, 2010
Good to see the tower reduction restored.

Though... I can't help but wonder if it's too powerful now. I did, indeed, work it into other decks for its Far sight efficacy, and generating 9 wall or 6 tower or 3 (actually 2) stock depending on the opponent's hand will likely continue to be the reason for playing this card rather than the tower reduction.

I know, I know, it sounds like I'll never be happy, right? -.- I do enjoy the card as it has become. In the end, however, I still believe that this should have been two separate cards. I'm afraid now that it's going to have its cost or penalty increased somewhere along the line to balance the tower strike.
dimitris on 09:52, 26. Aug, 2010
This is way too powerful. I think making it common to reduce the far sight effect will balance it, since once it comes to your hand it would probably stay for ever, so it is actually a common card....
Mojko on 10:29, 26. Aug, 2010
I propose one of these changes:

1 - replace stock: -1 with Production x0

2 - remove stock: -1, remove the "Select a card from hand to be replaced with Ninja" effect, raise tower damage from 2 to 3, add Durable keyword
dimitris on 10:36, 26. Aug, 2010
I'd vote for the second option.

1) it's unpleasant if you want to use far sight to raise you stock with matching multicolored card...

2) I think it's nonsense, it's base of this card that you can operate with far sight position...

maybe if you want to weaken it, you could use old part from wind... "next card will be a common card not from your deck"
DPsycho on 18:02, 26. Aug, 2010
3) Remove the tower reduction, and also make a separate card that does have the tower reduction but not Far sight. >.>
dimitris on 08:03, 22. Sep, 2010
It's still very powerful...
Lord Ornlu on 14:34, 22. Sep, 2010
-2 tower and far sight is not powerful at all. It still reduces stock, so I think it's a fair trade.
