After a recent game that took a large number of rounds, I did a quick search to see if anyone had ever had a game go all the way to 250 rounds for a timeout victory. So far, since records have started being kept, only one match has gone through such a stalemate.
I'm at a loss as to how a game could go so long; you'd think, if nothing else, a resource victory would be possible by that point. I guess it was probably a test game, as I can't see how two players attempting to win could stalemate for so long.
Anyway, just wanted to point out that it's only been done once. Maybe this means the maximum round number is too high? Or does that mean it's at a proper level, since we don't want timeout victories to occur, except very rarely?
