Hey guys. I just played Druid, and ended up both drawing a rare card, and getting a rare along with the discard. I checked for keywords and such but didn't spot anything. Now I'm more than happy about receiving these cards, but thought that it shouldn't be possible.
The replay will coming up when the game's over.

I think I understand this, but if what I say below is incorrect, someone please correct me.

Rares can't be drawn by discarding effects of common cards, though they can be drawn on their own. So Supply Units, for example, will never replace the soldier you discard with a rare, though it does allow the next card after Supply Units to be rare.

Druid is not affected by this rule at all, as it doesn't discard cards. As is normal, the next card after Druid can be rare if you're lucky. The other card, which you choose via mode, is not a "discard" mechanic--it's a "replace" mechanic. Therefore, the replacing card can be rare (also if you're lucky).

This looks to me to be the card working as intended in the rules.

Id say EH is right.
The rare Restoration / Nature card is drawn by the effect (which doesn't state 'non-rare' or anything like that) and that's not conected to common drawing rules.

Druid is a summoning card, so the card it summons is specified in the card effect (it doesn't exclude rares). And the card drawn to the former position of the druid is a standard draw, so the rares are not excluded either. However, drawing two rares with a druid requires some luck ;-)

I think EH summed it up well: It's a Replace mechanic, not a Discard, hence rares can still be drawn. Guess this is settled then. Thanks for the input :o)
(And yes, it seems I've been quite lucky in this game.)

yeah it happened to me once, drawing Prosperity and Volcano with Druid, very lucky indeed
