This is a quite nice idea, it could be very useful
EricHerboso on 21:14, 26. Jun, 2010
Now modified from modal version that did either towr=15 or tower=30, due to card lengthiness issues. Now only does tower=20.

btw, not sure abt this but isnt there a card already called dismantle? maybe im wrong
DPsycho on 04:10, 27. Jun, 2010
There is not. Setting the Cards section to Rarity:Any has Dire wolves followed by Divine guidance. You're probably recalling seeing this card's concept before it was modified.

Cool idea. I wonder if the brick gain might be a bit too high though? You could really fast track to Pyramids as it is now.
DPsycho on 04:24, 27. Jun, 2010
It would probably become the most frequent final play toward Resource Victories as well, seeing as having 54 tower would grant you over 100 bricks. My last Resource Victory had both of us at more than 80 tower and hoping to be the first to draw a match ending card.

Considering that it's already giving you wall gain, I wouldn't have it grant more than 1xN bricks, with N/2 probably being better. Consider that Tower on average costs 1 brick per point to build and this probably shouldn't be refunding more than that.
EricHerboso on 23:41, 27. Jun, 2010
The one to one brick/tower ratio does not hold when it comes to rares. Stronghold gives 30 tower for 20 bricks, plus adds far sight and stock +4 on top of it. If bricks are considered equivalent to gems/recruits, that's a total cost of 8 resources for 30 tower, PLUS an additional 18 tower from far sight if you're lucky. At a minimum, this is more than a three to one ratio of bricks to tower; when considering far sight as well, it is 48 tower for 8 resources -- a six to one ratio.

Considering that the card is rare, I don't think it unreasonable to add a large number of bricks, especially considering the drawback; after all, once you play the card you will be down to 20 tower.
DPsycho on 23:43, 27. Jun, 2010
With the wall increase as well?
EricHerboso on 00:11, 28. Jun, 2010
I admit I forgot about the wall on my last post. But without the wall gain, you'd be defenseless after playing this card. Do you really feel like 1xN bricks is enough to make the card worthwhile? You even say N/2 bricks would be more fair--yet I find it difficult to believe the card would even be playable at that level.

Maybe I'm underestimating the power at 3N bricks, but surely you're overestimating at N/2.

I'm still looking at it from the perspective of going for the Resource Accumulation Victory. If someone with 54 tower can play this to gain more than 100 bricks, he's likely to win that way. Every Building deck would take this card. Even without it, my Building deck often wins with a Resource Victory. 118181 is a good example of that.

Making the brick return 1xN or less would prevent someone from playing cheap +tower commons and getting several times the return. I shudder at the idea of playing Lookout towers for 7 bricks, playing this one to gain 45 bricks, and then playing Lookout towers again. Foundations, Guard tower, Reuse the rubble, Tower, even Work in progress could be tossed in just to gain several times their cost in bricks, and these are just the Commons. Those bricks would then either fund an Uncommon card to rebuild the lost tower (near-guaranteed win with Pyramids or Wishing lagoon on hand) or be put toward a Resource Victory. It's too potent.

Nice card.
I totally agree with DPsycho, bricks +N works fine for this card. And probably it should have a cost, 7 or 8 bricks.

Edited as suggested.
