Got Myr. Took several tries, but I managed to wear him down with an existing Burning/Mage/Legend deck.

He drew the Rare Citadel of Myr to double his tower but never played it. What's funny is that if he hadn't drawn it, I probably wouldn't have started on the offensive as early as I did, and I only just barely squeaked by at the end.

It could be caused by his AI setting. He just values gems too much to actually use them in large quantities.

Beating other challenges was more of a "build you anti deck" thing.
With Myr I just tried some of my decks until i've cracked him with some amount of luck and my burning offence deck. I think something needs to be changed.

About AI, I've noticed that if you sheath them - they use purifying fire. But if you flare them - they do not. Because after flare - they still got some 3-4 cards to play.

Do you have any ideas on how he should be changed?

I think there are definitely some legitimate techniques you can use to exploit and counter his playstyle. You can take common mage cards to get the benefit of his ice queen. You can take swift punishers like Don't be hasty or Time warp to counter his heavy reliance on swift cards. There are probably others, but I haven't played against him a ton.

Using mages to abuse his ice queen does not work, because he will use it only if you have less mages i think, somehow when I tried that, he did not catch the bait.
Don't be hasty is sadly not with us anymore. And time warp does nothing against his facilities income.
I'm surprised how you outbuild him, when he could boost his tower with queen. And with his amount of rares,no samurai army can help in such a long play.

update: ah I missed you halving his tower. Neat card, I've used when doing Sophie.

Don't be hasty doesn't exist anymore. Time warp? maybe you mean Time lock.
I will make some other tests on Myr ai. however the use of purifing fire is the same of the other AIs.

Haha, oops, I didn't realize DBH was removed, and I actually meant time lock, not time warp. Double fail on my part!

You're right that he usually won't use queen if you have as many or more mages than him, but you don't have to take every mage card in the game: a little bit is better than nothing, and it has the added benefit of getting rid of common cards and possibly having them replaced with UCs.

Sabotage was definitely a key part of my victory. Sometimes I think that card should be a rare, given how powerful it is.

Although I never used it, but most efficient card vs any AI would be vulture.
DPsycho on 23:57, 2. Oct, 2011
Gotta agree regarding Vulture. You have to put your locked Rares to use somehow.
